KABAN Hotel and Casino is open: the confirmed facts
Boracay's first casino is no longer a proposal. KABAN Hotel and Casino Boracay held its soft opening on 16 September 2026 at Station 0 in Barangay Yapak, at the northern end of the island. A formal grand launch is scheduled for 11 October 2026.
Who is behind it
The property was built by Golden TW Realty and Development Corp. as part of its 23-hectare master plan at Station 0. Kevin Wong is KABAN's president and CEO. Casino.org reports that the developer is controlled by Zibin Liang, a businessman with a background in financial services and rural banking.
What is inside
Every report agrees on the core facts: a six-storey building, an 88-room hotel with rooms from boutique size up to a presidential suite, and a PAGCOR-licensed casino floor of about 2,000 square metres with table games, slot machines and electronic gaming.
Other facilities named in the coverage include Lamii All-Day Dining, SIGLA Spa, a pool deck, a VIP lounge, a Kids Playlab, a lobby café and a Skybar overlooking the island.
Where the reports differ
Most outlets, working from the developer's own release, count seven dining concepts. Casino.org describes six restaurants and bars, and is the only outlet to give machine counts: 150 slot machines, 10 live-dealer tables and VIP gaming parlours. Until the operator publishes its own figures, treat those numbers as reported rather than confirmed.
Entry rules
Gaming is limited to guests aged 21 and over and is subject to responsible gaming rules. Bring a government-issued photo ID; a passport works for most international visitors.
"As we open our doors, our greatest hope is not simply for KABAN to shine in Boracay but to help the island and its people shine even brighter on the world stage."

Local jobs
The company says about 40 percent of KABAN's employees are from Aklan. The opening was marked with an outdoor LED reveal and a ribbon-cutting attended by representatives of the Aklan provincial government, the Municipality of Malay and Barangay Yapak.
